The STMV Series Medium Voltage SPD, available in voltages systems of 1000V, 1500V, 2000V, 2500V, 3000V, 3600V and 4160V, is the first product of it’s type in the industry to offer a an integrated monitoring option. Available in the 120kA per phase configuration, the monitoring option provides separate LED array indicators for each phase, separate dry contacts for each phase and separate surge counters for each phase. Our patent pending STMT Medium Voltage Multi-Tap Surge Protective Device (SPD) is a design that is completely unique in the surge protection industry. It incorporates four (4) different voltage taps in a single unit and solves a long-standing problem for the Oil & Gas industry. Instead of having to purchase a new SPD each time the voltage requirements change at the well head, the operator can simply change the voltage taps to the required voltage. Using the Multi-Tap SPD will save operators and owners considerable expense and logistical headaches. Our line of Low Voltage SPD’s are listed to the latest revision of UL 1449 and are designed, manufactured and tested consistent with ANSI/IEEE C62.41.1-2002, C62.41.2-2002, C62.45-2002, NEMA LS-1, NEC Article 285 and IEC 61643. With surge current levels from 50kA to 500kA per phase, APT has the right SPD for your application. All our products use field proven large block, 40kA or 50kA MOV’s with overcurrent protection and thermal protection built into every unit. The XAS Series, featuring a single replaceable module per unit, provides the widest range of surge current ratings, from 100kA to 500kA, and is one of the few product available on the market with a UL Listed and tested integral disconnect switch option. The XGA Series features our patented TranSafe™ circuit. The TranSafe™ circuit reconfigures surge suppression paths based on impedance changes in the circuit. This allows the SPD to operate, and continue to protect the system, even when a Neutral or Ground conductor is corrupted, maximizing performance, safety and redundancy. The SPDEE Series utilizes large Block 50kA Thermal Protected MOV’s with surge current levels of 50kA per mode. The unit is a perfect replacement to the obsolete surge arrestors. With a small, compact design and line or load side installation flexibility, this unit can be installed anywhere in any electrical distribution system and with a 20kA In rating it meets the UL 96A Lightning Protection Master Label requirements.
